Hello,
Just wanted to share with you guys that I installed an AEM cai on my 2016 civic EX. The installation itself was a pain in the a**, especially when either inserting the intake into the throttle body or installing the heat shield. I couldnt have done it without another pair of hands so my bro helped me with it. Once Installed, the sound was changed =D. The deep growl just makes u want to press it hard all the time. It sounds nice I'm not too sure but i also feel it pulls a bit harder than before. Anyway, here are some pictures:

post some video of that sound!
I made vid but honestly it doesn't do the sound justice. In the vid it wasn't evident. It is something you just have to hear for urself to appreciate it.

Hydrolock only happens if your intake gets enough water in it to fully saturate the filter; due to the hood slope and the distance from the radiator and the design of the heat shielding, it's pretty much a non-issue. It's more an issue with the 1.5l as cold air intakes on those take air from the bottom of the front bumper

You won't have any issues with rain. Your filter would have to be way down by the ground and your car in deep enough water to submerge the filter. Your filter is in the engine bay, like the stock air filter is. If you submerge your engine in deep water, well, you have other problems. Have fun!

Ahh, it looks like you forgot to put the head shield liner thing in the center circle of the head shield to surround the end of the intake tube where it meets the air filter! I just installed mine yesterday (took me the entire day and most of the evening), and after I was done I realized I did the same thing. Luckily there was enough space for the air filter/intake tube to move around so it wasn't too difficult to slip the liner on the surrounding circle without having to take anything apart.
