Car and Driver finally did a comparison test on the Civic Sport vs. the Chevy Cruze, Mazda 3 Sport and Golf 1.8.
I saw it in a magazine and it's not online yet. These were the acceleration numbers for the civic sport manual:

0-30: 2.6
0-60: 7.0
0-100: 17.0
0-120: 27.2
1/4mile: 15.3@94mph
skidpad: 0.93g
curb weight: 2875 lbs

The civic won the comparison test and was the fastest out of the bunch. VW was close with 15.4@93mph

.93g on the skidpad, ... how'd that happen?

Actually the 1/4 mile was 15.2.

The car was wearing continental contact pros. I didn't know the car came with those.
The internets say those are good handling tires, but -- not cheap (about $200 ea) and won't last long (less than 30,000). -guess there's always tradeoffs. (not to mention the mpg hit from the sport wheels and tires)

I have customers with stock-tuned 9th gen's that have run 14.2-14.5 area. With bolt ons they've run 13.5-13.8 consistently. I went 13.8 in a customer's 203whp 9th gen Si 3 years ago, single pass.

Good tuning results so far, I'm most interested to see what Vit can get out of these cars and how the 10th Si will stack up out of the box.

been taking my car to the strip for the past 2 weeks. 1st week best time was 15.9 @85. yesterday was 15.7 @87. we've been having strong headwinds the past month. gonna try to run 1 more time tonight and see how it launches with a alittle higher rpms. btw mine is a 1.5T CVT. gonna try to get a good first run since it looks like the longer the CVT runs the slower the times are due to the heat and im guessing the ECU is cutting boost to it because of that.
