@Hondata, I assume there is at least a thought being given to developing the FlashPro and FlashProManager to work with the new Type R. I don't know what features all the others in the group are looking for, but personally I plan to utilize E85 and whatever mods are necessary to achieve 400whp.

If there is any chance you are considering a way to make the new Type R perform as a true flex-fuel, I would definitely be about it. It's challenging for me to have to switch fuel types near 100% as I currently do with my 09Si. I realize it may require extra electronics and I'm ok with that. I would also be happy to share my development results with you guys-

Lolz I don't even have the IG! I do have Twitter though - @09CivicSiBrian on there too. Hoping it makes it easy for people to reach me when I put the for sale stickers on the 09 Civic Si.

Hold on- can I use my old Flashpro on the CTR by different downloads?

That's not necessarily true. The 2.0T could very well require a different logic controller over the 1.5T. The fact that there's no support yet on the 15/16 CTR 2.0T should be an indicator right there...

yes, gotta unlock the ECU loaded from old vehicle. Then lock the new vehicle's ECU to the Hondata. Only one vehicle may be actively "user flashed" per a Hondata unit.
My tuner says I can only use my FP with an 06-11 civic Si...

thanks for the update, i thought a Hondata controller would be functional across all Hondas once a software update is made for the vehicle model.
Yeah man I was hoping it worked that way...

According to their website, they won't talk about upcoming products because it just causes too much hassle. I can understand that.

This said, I feel like we might see something right before or even during SEMA, and/or possibly 'pre-orders' happening starting at/during SEMA.

This is not based on any information I have from any person, article, etc etc. Just a WILD GUESS based on how close we currently are to SEMA, and what a great platform SEMA is for launching products. It would make more sense to soft launch at SEMA (pre-orders) and have actual delivery be some time later. The pool of potential customers is only growing as CTR deliveries happen almost daily. If the product can be adapted to the Accord as well, the pool will get even bigger. (I could see, possibly, more people with Accords getting this and building some CTR straight-line killer Accords) The pool of potential customers in Accords will probably be bigger than the pool of CTR owner/drivers.

It's exciting and the wait is hard, but not as hard as waiting for the Delivery day was...

History tells me that existing flashpro devices meant for one vehicle make/model/engine will not work with another model car.

Additionally, I know that as of now, flashing the car will not work. For a tune, you'll have to modify your existing ECU.
