Did you have a bunch of codes pop up after the install? Just finished mine about an hour ago and still have brake system, power steering, vsc and cel lights still on. This happened after the dyno too but went away in minutes, though mine are still here an hour later.
I don't have any code pop up after the install, I have the injen short ram and boomba bov.

I have had no codes pop up and nothing changed for me other than the BOV sound. I have heard of an issue with our cars where all the lights turn on like that but not because of the BOV. My fiancé works at our local Honda store and she said that all they had to do was go in and get the car flashed and the problem never came back.

There are a few threads about that happening for no reason. A few key cycles will usually reset the car back to normal.

Those get similar noise but you are still using the weak factory BPV and this spacer now forces it to operate in ways it was never designed to do. We've made spacers like this for other cars we have made parts for in the past, but on the tenth gen Civic our testing found that the factory BPV is just better off being replaced rather than using a spacer like that.

Just bouncing ideas around.. I have heard of people simply removing the hose from the BPV to the intake and plugging it so the excess boost is vented instead of recirculated. Has anyone tried this?

Likely a dumb question, but just wanted to confirm for myself that the blow off valve makes no changes to the vehicle performance right? It's just for the sound when it vents? Just ordered a strut bar and the boomba rear motor mount, which I believe should help with vehicle stability and such - as much as I want the sound, money's tight (crappy Canadian dollar) for me to get a BOV as well if it's just a sound thing.

It is also is a huge improvement over the construction of the stock piece. The stock unit has a metal shell but the inside is very weak and is made of rubber and plastic. Our blow off valve it billet aluminum and has a brass piston. This design is exponentially stronger than the stock unit and will hold boost better.

they might be weaker than yours but these turbos are not pushing 30psi nor its a big turbo with lots of volume. i am sure Honda engineer them to take the boost fine for many years or they would be warrantying them a lot and losing money

@Boomba Racing . My brother has a kia optima with the boomba bov and wanted to go back to oem..is it the same adapter/ will his bov fit the civic too?
The bolt pattern is the same but that is about it. This features different style of O-rings and a different strength spring inside of it compared to the Optima one. We do sell Optima BOVs as found here: https://www.boombaracing.com/kia-optima-blow-off-valve/

If you are referring to the OEM piece, I am not sure if they are the same. I would be on different spring pressure.
