Hey guys: anyone has any thoughts as to improving the sound of the dual exhaust? Sometimes I forget I even have a turbo. I can feel it, but not hear it

maybe try this:
It attaches to the exhaust end and creates a turbo whistle effect

I've seen those things on eBay. That's for folks that don't have a turbo & want the sound. I got the real deal Holyfield, but even though it kicks like a mule, the sound is naaahh....

Hey bud,

They currently are selling a BOV by HKS for the 1.5 Civic. That'll definitely give you the sound you're looking for. Also, you can get a Cold Air Intake or short ram intake which will give you a more turbo sound.

I hear you & it definitely sounds much better. I'm just worried that it will void the warranty on the car by changing the intake

If the warranty is of concern, than you should probably just be happy with what you have. The only way to get the spooling noise you're looking for is an intake. You'll pretty much never hear a TD03 out the exhaust.

It won't void the warranty. I have changed out my intake, added the Hondata Flash Pro. Went by Honda for some maintenance, which I pay for each month, they were stoked on the updates I've done. Unless something serious happens to the car, from those mods, you have nothing to worry about.

Intake, intake, intake. Only way as someone stated before ^^^ Iā€™d stay away from any VTA BOV, HKS has an adapter for theirs to recirculate but obviously wonā€™t get the sound of a VTA. VTA messes with the AFR, have not done any testing with this to back that up. But do plan on purchasing the Boomba BOV and testing it out and checking the AFR in all conditions. Intake for the boost sounds, and an exhaust for LOUD NOISES. Thereā€™s a few good ones on the market so far but do expect to see more in the near future

I bought the Injen Short Ram and it sounds great and I have noticed a bit more power in the 4K rpm range over stock. The only way an intake would void the warranty is that they have to prove that it was the cause of any engine issues.

I just installed the AF Dynamic short ram intake from Amazon and it made a huge difference in sound, way more then i expected to hear from my car. You can hear the spool and the intake just sucking in the air and you can also hear the OEM blow off valve. Just add an intake to your car and you will be happy. I put my intake in about 2 weeks ago and im still in love with the sounds its making.
