Would be really nice if Honda finally realized that sunroofs actually add to the "Sport" nature of a fun to drive car......find it utterly ridiculous that I cannot get a moonroof in a car as nice looking as the Sport edition Accord.
lol, sunroofs have nothing sporty at all about them.

They raise the center of gravity, add a lot of weight to the car, and has less clearance for rollcages&helmets if needed.

Also, by leaving it out on "sport" trims, they can keep costs down for other parts that go into it that actually help driving dynamics

True, but once you cut out the frame and track with a sawz-all, and add a carbon fiber block-off panel you can actually save a few lbs over the non sunroof model, at least in some cars that I've worked on.

I have nothing against people wanting the exhaust tip shown. I myself like it not shown, one less part to clean and no exhaust residue to clean off the bumper once the car ages. No tip to me tells me i gotten to the point of wanting it to look slick and not be class as a ricer on the streets by kid ricers when they see rolling and be hating. ;)

OMG......do you really wear a helmet while driving your Accord Sport model with 4 cylinder and CVT transmission? I sure hope not. Sport is different than performance and the reality is the "Sport" model looks a lot better than the EX and EX-L models. The Touring is neat but, there is no manual option for this model. Thus, the Sport model when ordered with a 6 speed manual sure would be a lot better with a moonroof than without. I get the price point discussion but, honestly I am just interested in having a car that has the features and look that I want. Up until the Civic, Honda has been limiting options to packages. What I like about the Civic is that options like moonroof, color, engine, drivetrain and model all seem to be available. The car is selling like hotcakes because people do not have to compromise. I am waiting for the Manual Civics to arrive. Plan on looking at Civic Si and Civic Touring with manual transmissions. If Honda gets limited with their manuals......I may move to looking at Subaru for my next car.

The WRX Premium edition has a 6 speed manual with an optional moonroof and cloth heated seats. The confusion between sport and performance makes me lol.....

Weight on top is the worst for vehicle dynamics. An edition looking to improved vehicle dynamics and handling really shouldn't have a moonroof. they are pretty heavy.
Guy's.....I get and understand the whole moonroof = weight and weight equals performance loss. What I am looking for is what 95% of the Honda customers want......a nice looking car that is fun to drive and looks good doing it! Nice Wheels, dual exhaust, moonroof for nice days, heated cloth seats and a rocking stereo......perhaps a nice lighting package......give me this and you have a winner. The problem today is that majority of the kids confuse sport with performance. Sport = Sporty look, not race car performance.

lol, "sporty look" can be added to any trim - you're just being cheap.

I'm making these numbers up because I don't really care that much, but since you seem to be:

If an Accord EX is $22000 w/ a sunroof, and and Accord Sport is $23000 without one, just spend the extra money to make your EX have 19" wheels, two tips, etc.

You were the one that first claimed wanted the "sporty drive" from the sport -- all with the additional 5hp (or whatever it is you get.)

Or, just get a WRX.

Honestly.....the whole helmet, roll cage and weight concerning the moonroof made me laugh. I am looking for a car that I can take customers in, that will also be great for commuting and look good doing so. You do realize that the EX costs more than the Sport? The Sport model currently is an LX with 19" wheels, fog lights, dual exhausts and a spoiler. Why not complete the look (as it is a great looking car) with a moonroof? To add this content to the EX would be nuts considering you are starting with less options (minus the roof) on a more expensive vehicle. The net result is the Sport is a tremendous car for the money. I am not buying an Accord but, find it interesting the way Honda defines Sport and the options for a Sporty model.

Lol you need exhausts out the back and two of them or it's not sporty. No mufflers shown is just not right.

Now that the Sport's dual exhaust parts are available, has anyone tried figuring out how to adapt them to the other models?

Seems like it should be possible with a new diffuser, you wouldn't have to go to the (awesome looking) extreme of installing the Seibon SEMA build's carbon fiber bumper.
