Is there a button on the steering wheel to answer new texts (or reply) on CarPlay rather than hitting the green arrow on the head unit or verbally replying? What can an cannot be controlled with the steering wheel buttons relating to CarPlay? Thanks

Yes, you can press the talk button on the left side of the wheel for Siri commands. Play music, text, call, and use map functionality, etc.

See below....

Thanks but read my question again. Is there a way to do it non-verbally (no voice commands).

So your question is if you can type out a reply instead of replying by voice? For safety reasons that is not allowed in carplay. The only thing you can type out on the screen using carplay is an address in maps (when your car is not moving).

If there is a green arrow next to messages on the display can i listen to the message by hitting a button on the steering wheel to play it? I know I can hit the talk button and say "play new message". I would think that when i receive a new message I can just hit on button on the wheel to play it.
