Dealers will have to play it by ear. If the customer is serious about making the purchase (only thing stopping them is not getting finance), then they'll most likely let you test drive it before purchase.

If you're simply cross shopping, then they'll most likely not allow any test drives. If the car isn't already sold before the dealer receives their allocation, it'll most likely be sitting inside the showroom. It'll be their only one and it'll be a real hassle for both the customer and the dealer if the customer is just interested in a test drive.

That's awesome. You should definitely chronicle your adventures at the dealers... I have to imagine most of them are geared to try and sell the TypeR to dudes...I'd be interested in hearing some of the sexist responses you get along the way! On the other hand, some of the dealers will do anything for a nice smile so I suppose there's all types!
I am a small female too and I'm lucky enough at this point in my life that I can afford the Type R. My dealership here in Louisville,KY has always been great about test driving. They told me to take an Si home a few years ago and bring it back in 24 hours to see how I liked it. I ended up just sticking with my 04 Civic Hatchback Si. Now I'm finally ready to upgrade. I might make a YouTube video of my purchasing experience as young female purchasing this kind of vehicle. Also, a review of how it drives. Do you guys think anyone would be interested in that?

Chronicle my dealer adventures, yes! Luckily, I have not encountered any blatant sexist remarks or attitudes so far, but I have noticed subtle ones. We'll see going forward in 2017. It could go either way, as there will be so much activity with regards to Honda! With so many enthusiast buyers out there this year, they might not even bother with me, or take me seriously because of all the noise.
