Cool. I was already debating on that one anyways so with at least one good review that's probably the one I'm going to pull the trigger on

Would that be better than just going to ebay?

I will probably get that info from you later, might as well let the guy make as much money as he can instead of giving ebay a cut

Hey Saturday after noon I saw two-2 not one-1 but two-2---------- 1.5T get dyno. Frist car up with drop in intake $295.00+tax or shipping. I can not tell the website cause there are other on here. Frist three-3 runs made a lot less WHP then my stock 1.5T filter. It was taken off and stock box and filter was put back in and ran three-3 times more. And BAM 173-174whp. Next up K&N filter ran four-4 times. It did better then both others 177whp. Stock filter was put back in. BAM 171-173 All gas was 87. We all talk about how tuner parts are bad and good. People are hopping on the band wagon of new cars to make stuff that don't work and they are not giving the money back. And also cvt can dnyo just fine and run great. And the tuner kit for ecm that's are out there. Did you see that the hp on dyno is 166whp in a lot videos on the net for the civic 1.5t and then 205-225whp with chip or ecm $300.00-$700.00. Please base it on what your goals are . Normally new head and intake plus turbo and exhaust, injectors , gasket set, timing belt, cam and new 10.000rpm ecm----and may be 500whp????????????????????????????????????????Aftermarket parts go figure. The three-3 car were the same. white, red, gray (H)=_= Its ONLY COST ME GAS AND TIME BUT LERNED ALOT. I FEEL SORRY FOR RED.

I had an awfully hard time following what you were trying to get across.

so you are saying the cvt is easy to dyno when the likes of hondata/injen say its complicated so who should I listen to? I believe the cvt "shifts" to imitate a traditional auto under acceleration, so when it "shifts" from 3rd to 4th what does the RPM fall to? so maybe its easy to dyno a 1400 rpm window at the top but you cant choose a gear close to 1:1 and pull the whole rpm range in the gear to get an actual representation of the curve, right?

also is this 3 different cars or same car different intakes? sounds like 3 cars (white, red, grey) but sounds like a lot of intake swapping as well. were the ones with intake run long enough for the ecu to make its long term fuel corrections for the differing quantities of incoming air? or just thrown on and dynoed instantly? and I also assume no cars were tuned? was everybody using fresh 87 from the same station? lots of little factors could be screwing with the results.

planning on going to the dyno myself before and after intake as well as with the intake/tune. part of me wants to pull the intake and do a pre/post tune dyno as well w/o intake to see how much the tune alone can do so I can get an idea of the gains with intake on an already tuned car. no tax return yet though so it will be a while, but Ill share any results I get.
