Honda Civic Type R 2018 Digital Dash Startup

Idk if it's been posted but I found this on Instagram.

Saw it on Evasive's IG page. I wonder if Honda gave early access to tuners... Aftermarket for this car is gonna be on point.

I don't believe they have access to a car per-say, but I do have a feeling that some aftermarket manufactures (Spoon, Mugen, Skunk2, Bisi, Toda, etc) have CAD info on various items. This pic indicates either a) Spoon is working on a 6-pot caliper or b) Spoon will develop a 6-pot once the car is available.

I hope Toda and J's Racing makes something nice for the Type R, cause those are my only 2 favorite brands

I'm also excited for the aftermarket community to enhance the CTR. But I also think that the CTR will come in an absolute awesome form from the factory. Outside of a tire upgrade, fluid change, brake pad upgrade, and maybe an alignment, this car will likely be difficult to outdrive in factory form, for most. I'm basing my opinion on the idea that most who buy this car will track it in some way or another.

I agree with @JYR , if Honda meets its goal of recapturing the Ring then they will have pushed the limits on what the platform can do. That doesn't leave much room for the after market.

I suspect that most of the mods will mainly be for bragging rights or cosmetic, although there may be some room to take the drag racing performance up a notch.
