Whoever told you that's normal is either an idiot or just didn't want to deal with you or your car. I would find a different dealership to bring the car for service.

I just got my 1st Honda about a week ago. I have the 2016 lx and my car vibrates in idle. I dont hear anything but feel it and i hate it!!!!
If you wouldn't feel any vibrations at idle, the motor mounts would be too soft to handle full power... It is an inline four, which happens to produce a fair amount of power that needs to be adequately harnessed under all driving conditions.
The 167/17 Tuscon Eco has has a similar sized turbo engine, but they have a dual clutch automatic that disengages at stops, so awesome.

Hi guys!

Just received my Civic 1.5T here in Singapore and have clocked 220km (140 miles) on the odometer.. I realised that the engine vibrations are resonating through to my doors and seats and it is apparent during idle. Hold the doors while they are open and you would feel them vibrate at consistent low amplitudes.

There is also a constant clicking sound emitting from the dash on the right (consistent with the fuel injector sound) and regardless of speed.

I am intending to send it back to the dealer for a check but I was wondering if anyone has experienced these issues?

I'm a novice when it comes to car mechanics, and I experienced minor vibrations when I first bought my 2016 Touring Civic Sedan. I experimented with different gasolines and after many trials I have found that 93 octane BP with no ethanol minimizes very much any vibes.
( at least where I get it there's no "contains 15% ethanol" notice)

As a novice, I'd recommend checking this out.

I agree, 91 or higher octane makes the motor smoother and vibrate less. @n707jt the clicking in the dash is normal. Also, your car is still breaking in, so just relax for now. It should smoothen out further by the time you hit 500kms-1000kms.

Thanks guys! I am currently just below 500km. Will wait up till its 1000km when I go for my first service. Fuel quality is a little different here as we operate on grades like 95, 97 or 98. I have recently pumped 98 fuel for the first time. Will see how it goes and update you guys here. Thanks for the help so far!

A quick question:

Do your front doors vibrate during idle?

Because mine is really evident. You can even see it. Its not strong but its there as the engine and A/C compressor operates.

But the dealer was kind enough to start other brand new 1.5T Civics and confirmed with me this is an inherent characteristic. Wished they would dampen it though.

No, , my front doors do not vibrate. With BP 93 (no ethanol)I'm very satisfied with the smoothness.

Next time I fill up I'm going to put in premium because mine viberates a little to much. I rather spend a little extra to have a smoother idle.
