Dry is mostly for convenience and so you don't have to worry about over oiling. But the 5R definitely flows better.I contacted afe and they said their oiled filter flows 5% better than their dry filter; however, the dry filter filters 1% better.
The intake isn't released yet.Kind of a dead thread. But anyone know where you can buy that K&N SRI that was in the first original post? i think it's by far the best looking SRI for this car i've seen so far. The metal ones all look cheaply made.
Get the injen, lookat my posts, but be warned, some ppl cant handle the awesomenessThe intake isn't released yet.
True. OP you made 9hp with the hood open and probably a fan blowing air on the engine. Close the hood and I bet you would have only gained around 3.5-4hp.Don't expect any real world gains with just an intake..
Omgosh don't even get me started on the Dyno sheet,, so much wrong with it. Explain the tcf (sae 1.02 vs 1.03) difference between stock and k&n installed and then it revs to 6700 for peek hp? Pretty sure the limiter is 6500.. smh k&n, not impressed with they're products OR manufacture process, lol 4 layers of gauze for the filter and that's all they use. Is 2017, there are better ways.. just buy a $30 spectre filter,, (5:01 of video) SAME THING, the truth hurts sometimes..True. OP you made 9hp with the hood open and probably a fan blowing air on the engine. Close the hood and I bet you would have only gained around 3.5-4hp.
We tried this on a hemi Ram a few years back... hood open a "CAI"gained 13hp, hood closed by the 3rd run it was only making 6.2whp over stock.
It was released this morning. $302.99 on K&Ns websiteKind of a dead thread. But anyone know where you can buy that K&N SRI that was in the first original post? i think it's by far the best looking SRI for this car i've seen so far. The metal ones all look cheaply made.
Im not sure i understand ur logic.. Why would you buy a 2.0L filter and ask this.. Instead of just buying the 1.5L filter?. Do you think the 2.0L filter is gonna filter better? Our 1.5L need alot more air then the 2.0L naturally aspirated engine..Sorry, a noob question but what happens if we switch out the air filter and if I'm on a 1.5L can I get 2.0L air filters?
