Installed my injen SRI today..

Well me and a few buddies installed my intake.. car sounds pretty nice.

When trying to remove the air box we dropped a socket down under it. When we finally got the air box out. We couldn't find the socket...

They just said it will fly out while driving as it's probably sitting on my heat shield down below. Is there much risk it to being down there? Lol

Yes, for the poor person behind you on a motorcycle. Hopefully it just rattles around and doesn't damage someone else.

Have your friends stop back with a nice floor 'jack'.
safely raise your car and poke around you might find the socket form the underside.
Those magnetic extendable pen and mirror things are cheap a might help too.

play around with your own car jack while you're out there too :cool:

safely raise your car and poke around you might find the socket form the underside.

And for the love of God, but jackstands underneath before doing this.

Jäck up the car and remove the cover on the bottom. The socket should fall out too.
