I did! It was much simpler than I thought. Just some rust/dirt built up around the rotors. It was around time for me to swap them out, and that fixed it.
This started happening to me. About 3 weeks ago was the first case, and then a couple of days after that. I noticed also that both days had been rainy days. Hasn't happened since, but I'm always bracing myself when I turn the car on (This is no way to live :().
Also - all 5 of my back speakers...
Ahh, I hate to see it lol. I've never tried wiring more than 1 amp before, and wouldn't even know how it would work coming from the battery and all, considering now I'd have to probably add 2 more on top of the mono amp I have installed for the sub. Guess it's just another thing to look into...
I'm really lost when it comes to audio wiring and everything, and I've been trying to wrap my head around this thread for a few days now.
I've replaced all the (10) speakers in my Touring sedan, and could not achieve a sound I was totally happy with - It still felt flat and even tin-y, even...
Is it a sound that's almost "spinning" with the wheels? I've had a sound like that (and still do) for awhile now and have had multiple people look at it and come up with nothing, as I can't always replicate it. I've realized that it only happens when it gets really hot (coming off a highway or...
Appreciate that! I agree that the first one is priced a bit higher than what sellers have shown to be willing to let them go for. The second shop is actually local to me - I'm on their notification list for when they get some in stock. Though I have a buddy who has gotten in and ordered one, and...
Seems like I came a couple weeks late. I've been scouring eBay for the last 2-3 weeks for a handkraftd wheel and have come up with nothing (the cr-v one showed up a few times, but I'm 100% of the airbag fitment being the same). Guess I'll have to try messaging some of the sellers to ask if they...
Did you put sound deadening on the actual plastic rear deck lid? I just sound deadened my rear deck after changing out all the speakers in it, and there was no rattle at all. Bass was really clean. However, when I slapped the plastic deck back on, the thing rattles like crazy again.
I used the...
A weird thing to try - I had a weird sound that was bugging me for awhile on my wheel about a year ago or so. Took it to Honda, and they couldn't figure it out because it wouldn't always happen. Found out a couple weeks later that it was just the floor mat was pushed all the way forward so that...
Pretty much just self tappers. I gave the OEM enclosure a good look, and went, "Naaaaaaaaaaaah f- that."
The clearance is really low because of the rear window, though - had to borrow a buddy's 90-degree drill thing to get the self-tapping screws in back there.
Just got it all done today and put back together today. I used an lc2i + amp for the sub. It rattled the whole deck like crazy, lol.. Put sound deadener all over the deck top/bottom (trunk side) and it ended up doing wonders. Bass was SUPER CLEAN.
However, once I popped the deck lid back on...
Will definitely do this if there's no way to use a bracket. Do you think that Noico padding would be sufficient? (Since I'll be applying that around the area anyway)
Thanks for this info, I definitely don't plan on re-using the stock sub and might give this a shot. Though I think that middle...
I'll try to grab you a pic over the weekend, but I 3M'd the black fog vent in front of that area (for added security because some clips broke), so it might not be easily removable any more to access that area. And yeah I do have one! But it hasn't been updated in forever, once I take some...
Heyo,
Long story short: I'm changing out every speaker in this car, and currently I'm trying to upgrade the stock sub in my Touring sedan. I picked up a Kicker 44CWCD84 as it would fit nicely into the stock enclosure, and Crutchfield didn't give me any prompts for a bracket or anything being...
