  1. Battling the hatchback blindspots

No issues with properly adjusted mirrors and seating position. What bothers me more is the thick A pillars with the additional speaker trim added in
  2. What month are the earliest hatchbacks?

I took delivery on mine at the beginning of October last year
  3. 2017 Civic Hatch possible issue

I'm taking a shot in the dark here...wastegate noise from the turbo?
  4. First Oil Change

You can reset the items separately. This is based on the models which do not have the upgraded dash display.
  5. First Oil Change

Yep, the letter will appear for the fact that it's the next service dictated by the maintenance minder. My car showed "0" at the minder screen right after the first service. Once I hit 15% oil life before the first maintenance, the car would alert you every time you turn the ignition.
  6. Gas MPG

That sounds pretty normal to be honest if you are mainly driving during start-stop traffic. Take a look at the many other threads regarding MPG and you will see you're not the only one
  7. First Oil Change

Took it to maintenance today with 5800km (3600 miles) at 15% oil life. Gotta love the endless rolling hills of Vancouver
  8. Auto Climate Control - Air Source

When I turn it all the way down to "Lo" and all the way up to "Hi", the system automatically changes to internal recirculation
  9. how do you guys keep stuff from sliding around in the hatch?

Empty produce boxes I get from Costco. I just put 2 of them side by side, and with a sleeping bag.
  10. Morimoto HiD system for Canadians (free shipping)

I had to actually raise mine because the cutoff was too low. I think every car's factory aiming is a bit different
  11. vs Accord Sport

Considering there's a new generation of accords every 5 years, it's about time for a 10th gen accord, I would definitely wait for that first.
  12. My Mpg has been rather poor on my Sport Hatch.

I'm running 28mpg right now. If your daily city commute has plenty of hills, mpgs will go down the drain. Also the fact that it's winter, low ambient temperatures will cause your mpg to suffer.
  13. Hatchback rear visibility

Gee sorry that the community disagreed with you when you asked them for their thoughts
  14. Hatchback rear visibility

+1 to you haven't driven many cars then. I believe you're getting bamboozled by the extra window area under the spoiler, thinking you're supposed to have the entire view if not blocked by the spoiler assembly. In truth, the new more streamlined cars (and even more so with fastback designs)...
  15. Hatchback LX vs. Hatchback Sport

I actually leased the LX just as a placeholder until the Type R is available.
  16. Hatchback LX vs. Hatchback Sport

http://honda.ca/civic_hatchback/specs Doesn't specify suspension tuning, but sport is 5mm lower than the LX. With sport you get: Center mounted exhaust, 18in wheels (and wider tires 235 vs 215), fog lights, moon roof, body skirt kit, paddle shifters for CVT, and another bunch of hoohaa The...
  17. Having people think my highbeams are on is really getting old

The touring headlights have an incredible amount of glare, just like some of the new Acura "Jewel Eye" models. http://m.iihs.org/mobile/ratings/mobileratings/honda/civic-4-door-sedan/2017
  18. Premium fuel

Fuel requirements should be a consideration before buying a BMW, not an afterthought. I happily fill my 328 with 91, and I don't complain about it since it's part of the owner experience. On the other hand, nobody is arguing that you need 91 for the Civic. It's just like people who likes to add...
  19. Premium fuel

So I decided to fill up some aki 94 over the weekend with about 1/6th of a tank of 87 left...thought I'd do my own blend of "91" After 4 days I can say that my butt dyno has discovered that power delivery is noticeably more responsive and predictable than 87. But again this could be placebo...
