I short shift mostly in dense traffic, you trade off acceleration for lower Rpm's.
My Rpm's barely go over 2.5k while shifting, you cant accelerate quickly but if your only going 40mph max with heavy street traffic you don't need to and your barely above idle rpm speeds.
